The Friends of Fort Flagler Fourth of July Concert will feature the Starlings an alt. country / Americana band from Seattle. Fronted by vocalist Joy Mills, they knock themselves out channeling the spirits of their chosen genre, harmonizing earnestly and beautifully behind Mills’ emotive lead. It's rootsy music with a simple beauty. They are the real thing. Mills' timeless, gorgeous voice is the driving force behind the Starlings' twangy serenity.
