This recipie comes from Susan Crawford.
BEEF STROGANOFF
1 1/2 pounds round or sirloin steak 1/4 cup flour Dash of pepper 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (drained) 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 small clove garlic, minced 2 cans beef broth 1 cup sour cream
Cut meat into thin strips. Dust with flour and pepper mixturee in a large skillet brown meat in 1/4 cup butter or margarine. Add mushrooms, onion, and minced garlic.
Brown lightly. Stir in one can of beef broth.
Stir well. Add second can of beef broth when mixture begins to thicken. Cover and cook slowly for one hour. Stir now and then. Gradually stir in sour cream. Cook for five minutes more. Serve over egg noodles.
