Welcome to LaGrange!
The boxes are almost unpacked and you’ve found your way to the grocery store and the dry cleaners. Now all you have to do is find some new friends!! Moving to a new city can be a very exciting time in our lives, but it can also be one of the most frustrating. Often having others to talk with who have had, or are having, the same experience can make a huge difference. At the LaGrange Newcomers Club you will find such a group of women.
We invite you to join us at our monthly meetings or for any of the many interesting groups we offer our members and their spouses. Our general meeting is held at 7:00 pm on the first Thursday of each month in the small dining room at the First United Methodist Church, 401 Broad Street. There will be a sign at the far west entrance (far right as you face the front of the building complex). A short program given by a guest speaker is followed by a brief business meeting. Refreshments are then served during an informal social time which allows members to visit and sign up for the upcoming month’s activities. These include informal cofees in members' homes, luncheons at local restaurants, euchre/game night, bridge, special outings, and service projects in the community. A monthly newsletter is available to give details on each of these activities.
If you would like to visit us before joining you may attend activities without any obligation for two months. After that time, dues are $20.00 per year. You may learn more about us at www.lagrange-ga.org. Simply look under community links, service organizations, LaGrange Newcomers Club. Our aim is to provide you with an easy and comfortable transition to the area. We offer an opportunity to become part of a growing and thriving community, develop new relationships, and enjoy the friendship of others who are new to the area, or were new at some point.
